Botswana is fondly known as “The Land of the Giants,” and has almost double the elephant population of any other country in Africa. In addition to 130,000 elephants, Botswana also boasts 163 other species of mammals, including: lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, wildebeest, zebra, and a few precious rhinos. The Chobe is also home to more than 550 species of birds, including many rare and endangered species rarely found anywhere else.

Chobe National Park boasts a rich and diverse ecosystem with unparalleled wildlife all centered around the awe- inspiring Chobe River. It’s an excellent adventure and a location for wildlife photographers who are looking to get close to animals and away from traffic and people.
